The 2017 annual meeting of the Coosa-Alabama River Improvement Association is set for April 27-28 at the Embassy Suites in Montgomery, Alabama. Registration and conference details will be published after the first of the year.
The Commander of Mobile District, US Army Corps of Engineers, Colonel James A. DeLapp, is scheduling a tour of the Alabama-Coosa-Tallapoosa River Basin to learn about the issues affecting the District's operations in the Basin. Tour stops tentatively are in Selma, Montgomery, Lay Lake on the Coosa, Gadsden, Birmingham, and Rome, Georgia.
