CARIA Elects New Board of Directors for 2016-2017
The Coosa-Alabama River Improvement Association has elected a new Board of Directors for the next year. After 19 years as Chairman, Ralph O. Clemens, Jr. relinquished that position to be replaced by Allen Henry, Owner of Henry Marine Services, Inc. out of Mobile. A new Vice-Chair for Alabama, Judge of Probate and Chair of the Monroe County Commission, Greg Norris, replaced Slade Hooks, of Fairhope, Alabama. New members elected to the Board were Wayne Vardaman, President and Director of the Selma-Dallas County Center for Economic Development, and Amy Brabham, Director for Economic Development for the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce. Here’s a complete list of the Board with the newly-elected Executive Committee.
Chairman Clemens and Vice-Chair Hooks have served CARIA in those two important positions for many years and are recognized for their contributions to ensuring CARIA has continued to perform its mission through some very trying times. Still to CARIA’s benefit, both will remain on the Board to provide counsel and support as needed.
